Probe death penalty for drug traffickers
Mexico's Congress agreed on Wednesday to hold a series of discussion forums on the possibility of reinstating the death penalty to punish certain crimes. 70% of Mexicans are in favor of the death penalty for kidnappers. For several months the PVEM develop a media campaign in favor of executions in order to stop the abductions and murders in Mexico.

The issue has gained momentum in the country following the kidnapping of Fernando Martí, a 14-year-old was killed by his captors, though they had paid the sum demanded.
Marti's case sparked the social pressure that culminated in a march against insecurity in August 2008, which took about a million people.
